They started to use a technique called the Magnetoencephalography or MEG to measure magnetic fields generated by electrical currents in the brain’s neuron cells. In most cases, Tinnitus patients have most activity in the auditory cortex of the ears on the side of the brain opposing the ear with tinnitus. The greater the activity in the neuron cells, the louder it becomes.

With this technique, the neuron doctors are able to determine which part of the brain cells are having such activities so that they can start to treat the little clutter bit by bit with whatever they can. This process has already been carried in Germany and it has been proved to be successful. It is by narrowing down the target area of the brain, it will make the treatments for Tinnitus to be more effective.

Having Tinnitus is really not easy for many patients and with this technique, patients are now able to raise their hope in their condition once again.
